Country Gardens

We were contacted with a bold request, could we repair a 65 metre x 10 metre burned out section of turf in time for a weekend event, only 7 days away? We designed and constructed these grass and perennial gardens in five days. A dry stone river runs from the upper plateau to the property line swale, channeling water runoff during the spring thaw. We employed a New American style planting of mostly grasses and perennials, which suited the scale of the homeowners front yard. Some flowering shrubs and specimen trees were added for early season blooms of mass colour. Approximately 40% of the 650 square metres is now filled with ornamental grass. Landscape lighting was also incorporated into the design to add a secondary element to the garden for night-time enjoyment.
